Faecal Float for Ferrets

Recently I wrote a post about coccidia in Rabbits –

Rabbit Coccidia

Whilst not as life-threatening in Ferrets, its still wise to know how to perform a faecal float, for when your ferrets come in for a yearly check up.

In ferrets, you may see clinical signs such as

  • Diarrhoea
  • Lethargy
  • Anorexia
  • Weight loss
  • Rectal prolapse
  • Tenesmus

Or none at all!
