Following on from last week, I’d like to share an experience i’ve had in the past few days. It’s quite ironic given last week I wrote a post on ferret handling.
A ferret spey came in recently, and I confidently handled the ferret whilst asking another vet to help me give some medication.
Unfortunately a little too much time passed, and my ferret went from compliant to hungry for the taste of human flesh. A few long seconds later, the ferrets craving was satisfied and i was left fine but bleeding and quite humbled.
No matter how much you think you know about handling ferrets, doesn’t hurt to brush up on your knowledge and skills. Otherwise you might be lunch!
